When Office 2024 or 2019 fits

- You prefer installed software that works offline, with no account.
When Office 365 fits
- You use Office on several devices: a laptop, a desktop, a phone or tablet.
- You want the newest features as they arrive.

- Click “Install apps” and download the installer.
- Run the installer and wait, then open Word or Excel.
- Sign in with the same account inside the app and it activates itself.
- Repeat on your other devices up to 5.
Our Office 365 account is for personal use only and works on 5 devices. Keep the login details somewhere safe and do not share them.
If you hit a problem after installing
- “Product not licensed” message: make sure you are signed in with the right account inside Word (File → Account) and that no second Office copy is installed.
- The app asks you to sign in every time: check the date and time are correct and the internet works, then sign out and in again.
- You reached the device limit: the account covers 5 devices, so sign out of an old device first before adding a new one.
- The install button does not appear: try another browser or a private window, and confirm you are signed in with the right account.
If these do not fix it, message us with your order number and we handle it under the warranty stated on the product page, before you try fixes from untrusted sites.
Common questions about the 365 account
- Does it work offline? Installed apps work offline, but a subscription needs to connect to the internet periodically to verify the account, so do not stay offline for long.
- What if I change my PC? Sign in with the same account on the new PC and install the apps, within the 5-device limit.
- Can I share it with others? No. Our 365 account is for personal use only.
- Do I need to remove old Office? Yes, removing any old Office before installing the 365 apps avoids license conflicts.
A quick look at long-term cost
A one-time purchase (2024 or 2019) means you pay once and use that version without renewing. An account or subscription has a set term, and after it ends you need to renew to continue. The account suits several devices or the newest features; the one-time purchase suits one steady PC. You can see each product’s live price on its page.
Before you install
- Remove any old Office from Settings → Apps and restart.
- Make sure you have enough space and a stable connection.
- Keep the login details somewhere safe and change them only as the steps delivered with your order say.
What to choose
One steady PC and no need for new features: Office 2024. Several devices and flexibility: the 365 account. Office 2019 is the lower-priced option for simple needs. Unsure? Tell us what you use and on how many devices.
